Analog film wedding photography — Mexico
Film wedding photography is a deliberate choice, not a trend. I shoot analog because the medium forces a different kind of attention, slower, more intentional, more committed to the moment in front of the camera. The result is images with a warmth, grain and depth that digital photography produces differently, and that age in a way that feels entirely right for photographs meant to last a lifetime.
I shoot on film across all of Mexico’s destinations, the Caribbean light of Tulum and the Riviera Maya, the Pacific gold of Los Cabos and Punta Mita, the highland warmth of San Miguel de Allende. Each location has its own quality of light, and film responds to all of them differently and beautifully.
Film and digital wedding photography — how it works
Every collection at Refined & Romantic includes analog film photography, scaled by package, from 30–40 frames in The Elopement to 150 frames in The Legacy. Film is not an add-on or an upgrade. It is part of how I work.
I shoot on medium format and 35mm film depending on the moment, portraits and ceremony call for one, receptions and candid coverage for another. The film is developed and scanned at a professional lab and delivered alongside your digital gallery as a cohesive, unified body of work.
If you want more film than your collection includes, additional frames are available as an add-on.
