PUNTA MITA wedding photographer – Photography in Mexico & Europe
Hi! I’m Antonio, a destination wedding photographer based in Mexico, and Punta Mita is one of the most extraordinary places I get to work in.
Punta Mita occupies a private peninsula on the Riviera Nayarit, about an hour north of Puerto Vallarta, where the Pacific Ocean wraps around one of Mexico’s most exclusive stretches of coastline. The peninsula is home to some of the finest wedding venues in the country, the Four Seasons Punta Mita and St. Regis Punta Mita anchor the luxury end, while Conrad Punta de Mita, W Punta de Mita and Susurros del Corazón by Auberge Resorts each offer a completely distinct character. What they share is the same extraordinary Pacific light, the Marietas Islands visible across Banderas Bay, and a sense of remove from the world that very few destinations in Mexico can match.
I specialize in blending editorial and documentary wedding photography, present throughout your day without ever getting in the way. I work both in digital and on film, and the Pacific light of Punta Mita, warm, directional and extraordinary at golden hour as the sun drops over Banderas Bay, is among the finest I’ve encountered anywhere in Mexico for analog photography.
Whether you’re planning an intimate ceremony on a private beach or a grand multi-day celebration at one of the peninsula’s luxury resorts, I’d be honored to be there with you.

PUNTA MITA on film — analog wedding photography
The light in Punta Mita has a quality that comes from its geography, a peninsula surrounded by Pacific on three sides, with Banderas Bay opening up to the west and the Sierra Madre behind. At golden hour, that light arrives low and warm across the water, hitting the beach and the resort terraces from an angle that photographers spend careers looking for. On analog film, that quality becomes something extraordinary, rich, warm and cinematic in a way that feels entirely suited to a place this beautiful.
For me, film isn’t a stylistic choice made for trends, it’s a deliberate creative decision. The slower pace it demands, the intentionality it requires, produces images that feel crafted rather than captured. Images that age beautifully.
I offer both fully analog collections and film add-ons to digital coverage. If you’re curious about incorporating film into your Punta Mita wedding, just mention it when you get in touch.
Where to get married in Punta Mita
Punta Mita concentrates the highest density of genuinely world-class wedding venues in Pacific Mexico. Every property on the peninsula sits within a private, gated community, which means seclusion, security, and a level of service consistency that’s difficult to find elsewhere.
Four Seasons Punta Mita is the anchor of the peninsula and one of the most consistently excellent luxury wedding properties in all of Mexico. Two private beaches, multiple ceremony and reception spaces across the grounds, impeccable coordination, and a quality of service that makes even complex multi-day celebrations feel effortless. The surf beach at Bahía de Banderas, visible from the resort’s northern edge, adds a dramatic natural element that few properties anywhere can match.
St. Regis Punta Mita sits adjacent to the Four Seasons and shares the same extraordinary Pacific setting, but with a more formal, classic luxury character. The beachfront ceremony spaces and the elevated terraces overlooking the bay produce some of the most striking wedding photographs in the destination.
Conrad Punta de Mita is the newest major property on the peninsula, with a more contemporary design identity and a location on a quiet stretch of beach that gives it a more intimate feel despite its size. It attracts couples who want a luxury address with a fresher, less established aesthetic.
W Punta de Mita brings a lifestyle-driven energy to the peninsula, with a design-forward identity, strong pool and terrace spaces, and an atmosphere that suits couples who want something with personality over formality.
Susurros del Corazón, an Auberge Resorts Collection Hotel is the most intimate of the peninsula’s luxury addresses, a small collection of villas nestled in the vegetation above the beach, with a level of seclusion and personalisation that the larger resorts cannot offer. It suits elopements and very small celebrations particularly well.
For couples who want complete privacy, several private villas within the Punta Mita community are available for exclusive buyout, including some of the most spectacular residential properties in Mexico, with full concierge support and direct beach access.

Yes, and I love it. The Pacific light in Punta Mita, warm and directional at golden hour as the sun drops over Banderas Bay with the Marietas Islands in the distance, is exceptional for analog photography. 03.
